Remove bandage in two hours.Wash tattoo with an antibacterial soap and water to remove excess pigments, body fluids, etc.
Apply a
small amount of Bacitacin to the tattooed area, blotting off the excess, 3 or 4 times daily for the next week. Then use lotion every 2 to 3 hours for the next week. Your tattoo will be healed in
2 weeks.
Refrain from swimming in fresh, salt or chlorinated water for 2 weeks.
Keep the tattooed area clean at all times.
Do not pick or scratch at the scabs.
If necessary due to extreme
conditions (such as work) you may cover your tattoo with a sterile bandage or other sterile dressing, to keep it from getting dirty or damaged.
Follow these simple care instructions. Your
tattoo will heal just fine, and you will be the envy of all your friends.
Contact your tattooist and your health care provider if there is any sign of infection, allergic or adverse reaction
resulting from the application of the tattoo. Also, if infection, allergic or adverse reaction does occur, please contact the Texas Department of Health at 521-719-0246.
